Art × Science IN Kyoto City ZooWhat do chimpanzees feel in arts ?

Progression of experiment with Eye Tracker

Do chimpanzees perceive moving images the same way as we do when watching TV and movies? This project commissioned four artists to make video works for chimpanzees, the closest animals to human being. By using the cutting-edge sensor technology of eye tracker, researchers analyse chimpanzee’s perception of the videos. In this presentation, the video works, the content of the experiment, and the analysed result will be discussed by researchers and artists, so that we get closer to the unknown sphere of chimpanzees.
