At Kyoto Cultivates Team, where corporations, artists, and universities related to Kyoto and specialized in the fusion of art, science, and technology come together, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics) professionals exchange opinions based on their respective expertise, and work on developing business ideas centered on the concept of “creating a future with culture” that will last another thousand years.

This forum features presentations of the results of this year’s Kyoto Cultivates Team activities with a main focus on the kick-off business project, KYOTO DAIRI PROJECT, which has emerged from the Kyoto Cultivates Team initiative.

KYOTO DAIRI PROJECT

KYOTO DAIRI PROJECT is a business project born out of the Kyoto Cultivates Team. With the aim of restoring the Inner Palace (Dairi) of Heian-kyo in 2227, exactly a thousand years after it burned down, the project discusses the future of the planet from the perspective of Kyoto over the course of the next two centuries.
