STEAM THINKING: Art to Create the Future- Art × Science GIG

Art × Science GIG (2019)

This is a comprehensive exhibition featuring works from STEAM THINKING LABO, a series of workshops conducted collaboratively by artists and scientists at art universities in Kyoto since 2018. Over the past three years, STEAM THINKING LABO has attempted to deliberately break away from conventional methods of making things. The lab has confronted the value of what science and technology cannot do, rather than the excellence of what they can do, and explored the depths of what science and technology cannot reveal, rather than the appeals of what they can reveal. This exhibition is the result of these explorations, providing an opportunity for visitors to discover new perspectives and questions about art, science, and technology.
